2. I missed an episode! Are there any episode guides?

The folks at TWoP have built a website for newbies to the show. It's called Mars Investigations: A Beginner's Guide to Veronica Mars. Right now this is the best resource on the web for those who need to catch up and don't have a whole year to sit and read episode transcripts and recaps.

6. Is the show out on DVD? What about a third season?

 Veronica Mars has been picked up for a third season by The CW. However, a full order of 22 episodes is not guaranteed, which is why all fans should try to join the effort to increase viewership. See Cloud Watchers.

7. Why is no one watching this show?

Well, we're watching! Unfortunately the show started out on the 6th-rated network UPN which isn't available in every television market. We just have to get the word out. So tell your friends and send them tapes if necessary! Now that the show is on The CW and paired with Gilmore Girls, it is hoped that its viewership should improve.

8. What's an 09er?

This refers to the fictional 90909 zip code where the more affluent people of Neptune live. At Neptune High students who live in that area are referred to as 09ers. For example, Logan Echolls, Meg Manning and Duncan Kane are 09ers. Veronica, Weevil and Mac...erm...no.

9. Who will be coming back next season?

Mac, Dick, Logan and Wallace are set to go to Hearst College with Veronica. Rumour has it that the producers would like to make Tina Majorino (Mac) a regular cast member. Michael Muhney has been signed as a regular cast member and should appear in the opening credits. Weevil will return for the third season but there is no information on the size of his role. Rob Thomas has confirmed that Teddy Dunn is done with the show. There is a possibility that the character of Jackie Cook may make a return to the show to give some final resolution to her story arc with Wallace. The only characters that we know will return for the third season are Veronica, Keith, Wallace, Mac, Lamb, Dick and Logan (I know - so obvious). We suspect Kendall Casablancas will be back at least for a bit due to her involvement in the second season-ending cliffhanger. There is no news on the rest of the PCHers or the Fitzpatricks.

10. What are Pirate Points?

At Neptune High School, students are rewarded with Pirate Points for their participation in extra-curricular activities such as cheerleading, sports, working on the school paper, etc. Racking up enough Pirate Points gives students privileges such as ordering lunch from outside the cafeteria. The system that awarded Pirate Points disproportionately favored the 09ers who tended to dominate the Pirate-Point-generating activities. This all changed when Duncan Kane was elected Student Council President. He added to the list of activities that garnered Pirate Points and leveled the playing field for not so affluent students.

11. Who are the Tritons?

The Tritons are a secret society composed of Neptune High's gifted male students. Each year 6 juniors are chosen to replace 6 graduating Triton seniors. The 6 juniors are sent invitations and must pass 12 trials/tasks in order to be accepted into the Tritons. This season Duncan Kane was among the 6 juniors invited to enter the secret Society.

12. Is there a Veronica Mars soundtrack?

 Yes. Music plays a huge part of the show. The soundtrack features the show theme and songs from both the first and second seasons.
